With so many types of clothing fabrics, how should one distinguish between them?

Cotton nylon fabric: This refers to Cotton Fabric. I believe everyone is familiar with it. Cotton nylon fabric is a type of fabric made from cotton. So, how can we distinguish whether the textile fabric is cotton nylon fabric? We can use a small piece of cotton nylon fabric and distinguish it by igniting it with fire. When cotton nylon fabric is ignited, it usually burns relatively quickly, without any resistance during combustion. The smoke is not pungent and it burns easily and quickly, with a large flame that appears yellow. The smell it produces is pleasant, with a cotton-burning odor, and the ash produced is grayish-white and does not turn black. Most clothes or pants made from cotton nylon fabric are sweat-absorbent and warm, and they are non-irritating to the skin. The only drawback is that items made from cotton nylon fabric tend to wrinkle easily after wearing, but they are comfortable to wear.

Acrylic fabric: In local dialect, it means "acrylic cloth". It looks good, but it's not very warm when worn. Moreover, some people with sensitive skin may experience discomfort or allergies after wearing it. Therefore, when choosing to wear acrylic clothing, it's best to choose Outerwear rather than clothing that is worn next to the skin. So, how can we distinguish acrylic fabric? The method is similar: take a small piece of acrylic fabric and ignite it to distinguish the fabric. When the ignited acrylic fabric is burned, it usually causes sparks or flashes when it encounters fire. At the same time, the burned acrylic fabric produces a black, hardened lump of ash, and the smell is particularly unpleasant, like a damp, sour odor. Although acrylic fabric looks very bright and smooth, it is not very comfortable to wear.

Nylon fabric: I believe everyone is familiar with it. The so-called nylon fabric is also known as elastic fabric. When such fabric is ignited, it will usually shrink into a ball or roll up immediately. When it burns, there is no flame, but when smelled closely, it has a foul odor with a hint of celery rotten smell. After being burned, it usually leaves no ash, but forms a white or grayish-black gelatinous substance. It can be pulled into a string-like shape by hand. If pulled when it is cold, it becomes a hard brown or black ball. It is not easy to break when pinched by hand and appears crystalline. This kind of fabric is nylon fabric. Pants or cheongsams made of nylon fabric are very comfortable and soft to wear, look gorgeous, have bright and attractive colors, and have a certain degree of elasticity.

Hemp linen: It refers to linen, which can be divided into fine linen and coarse linen. Fine linen makes clothes look good, while coarse linen, although also good-looking, may have pilling issues in some parts. Therefore, when choosing linen clothes, it is best to opt for fine linen and avoid coarse linen as much as possible, as some hemp linen is prone to snagging. Even if you choose coarse linen, it is better to choose tightly woven coarse linen. As for how to distinguish hemp linen, you can take a small piece of hemp linen and ignite it. After ignition, it will generally burn quickly, and the flame will be yellow. When you observe the smoke carefully, it will be light blue. The smell is somewhat similar to burning straw, occasionally resembling the smell of burning paper. However, the ash that burns out is usually grayish-white. Cloth like this is hemp linen.
